We are holding a 2-day Babysitter Training Course on Thursday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th. This course is for children aged 11+, and space is limited to 15 particpants. You must commit to both sessions.
Topics to be covered:
-Babysitting I, Safety- Police and Fire Department officials will discuss phone etiquette, dealing with strangers, responding to fires and other safety related issues.
-Babysitting II- Practice basic first-aid. Covers minor injuries, choking, cuts, bruises, poisoning and how to make a first-aid kit.
-Babysitting III- Discuss what activities are appropriate for certain ages, the Seven Principles of Discipline and common behavioral issues. Also includes “how to entertain” children and the business aspect of babysitting.
-Babysitting IV- Learn what foods are appropriate and how to feed a newborn, infant, toddler and pre-schooler. Thinking “safety first” you will discuss food preparation, servings, allergies and how to make nutritious snacks.
